Job Description
Screening Officers are responsible for checking all passengers arriving and departing from airports. They must be aware of all the requirements for airport operations, such as health and safety rules, fire safety regulations, etc.
They also have to check if the person carrying the baggage belongs to the correct class of travelers. They are expected to check the identity cards of passengers and their baggage, make sure they are not carrying any prohibited items, and inform the appropriate authorities about any suspicious activity.
The screening officers are often involved in security checks at airports, including baggage searches, scanning people for explosives and drugs, and inspecting people’s documents. They may also be required to escort passengers on duty and help them with other duties such as answering queries or providing information.
In order to do these jobs, they need to have a good command of English, be alert, observant, able to work under pressure, and have good communication skills. They should be familiar with the latest technologies and processes in security screening.

Who Is Eligible?
You are eligible for this job if you are an active citizen of Canada Aged 18 years or older. You must have a valid passport and visa (if applicable) to work in Canada. A Bachelor’s degree is required. However, some airports jobs may require higher qualifications.
